I had never heard that pun! :D And great series of vintage posters. Is the last image a martini shaker, was Powell a martini man? The post about Helen Twelvetrees was also very interesting. It's a shame her performance as Blanche Dubois wasn't immortalized on film.

Hi Mariana, A lightbulb went on in my head when I came up with that one. That's a Chase coctail set with a "Gaiety" shaker. Powell was a drinking man, at least on screen with his early Nick Charles/Thin Man Series portrayals. Poor Helen Twelvetrees. That was one of her last public performances. It's amazing how many stars of the early talkie era came to a tragic end. On a lighter note, did you ever hear this one? Why was it that Helen Twelvetrees was Rin Tin Tin's favorite actress? Because he had 12 places to p-- Those are the kind of jokes that killed vaudeville.
